Here’s a simple recipe for pasta:
Ingredients:
- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or your preferred type)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water, following the package directions until it’s al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
- Add the can of diced tomatoes (with juice), salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
- Stir in the chopped basil leaves and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce is heated through.
- Serve the pasta hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
Enjoy your delicious pasta!
